Wolffes Floor Coatings – FAQ
What types of floor coatings do you offer?
We specialise in epoxy, polyurethane, polyurethane cement, seamless flake systems and non‑slip coatings. Each system suits different environments, from garages and kitchens to warehouses and medical clinics.
What’s the difference between epoxy and polyurethane coatings?
Epoxy provides a hard, seamless surface perfect for heavy traffic and chemical resistance. Polyurethane is more flexible and UV‑stable, making it ideal for outdoor or temperature‑fluctuating spaces.
How long does a floor coating last?
Most commercial and residential coatings last 5–10 years. Lifespan depends on the product, usage and maintenance. Heavy industrial areas may need a recoat sooner.
Can you install floors in food‑grade or medical environments?
Yes. We apply hygienic, seamless coatings that meet Australian standards for aged care facilities, hospitals, laboratories and commercial kitchens.
Are your floors slip‑resistant?
Absolutely. We offer surfaces rated from R9 to R13 to suit everything from office foyers to commercial kitchens. Slip resistance is tailored to meet workplace safety requirements.
How long does installation take?
Most projects finish in 1–3 days. Fast‑curing options can minimise downtime for high‑traffic areas like kitchens or warehouses.
Can you resurface or recoat an old floor?
Yes. We repair and recoat existing epoxy or flake floors. After assessing the condition, we’ll recommend patching or a full resurfacing.
Do you work with businesses across NSW?
We cover Sydney, Greater Western Sydney, the Central Coast and selected regions in Queensland. For large or ongoing projects, we can travel further.
What industries do you work with?
We install floors for warehouses, factories, hospitality venues, healthcare facilities, car parks, retail stores, schools and government buildings.
How do I get a quote?
Call us, use the quote form on our website, or download our brochure and book a site visit. We aim to provide quotes within 48 hours.
Do you offer custom colours and finishes?
Yes. Epoxy and flake systems come in a wide range of colours and styles. We can also add line marking, logos or safety zones to suit your branding.
How do I maintain an epoxy floor?
Sweep regularly, mop with a mild detergent, and avoid harsh acid cleaners. For industrial areas, schedule deep cleans and consider a topcoat every few years to refresh gloss and durability.
